Stonewall Scavenger Hunt



This month, Stonewall Fleet held its second Scavenger Hunt across the STO Universe. Groups started out at Earth Spacedock and made their way to famous places via riddles as hints. The hunt was a huge success and over 1M energy credits were given out as prizes. A special congratulations to our first and second place winners: Galan Vaurek, A1088, DeRhamme and Krovni.

The House of Nagh reD

        lhIngan maH! Welcome to the House of Nagh reD, the Klingon Defense Force’s counterpart to Stonewall Fleet. I am writing this to shed some light on what it means to be a warrior in the KDF and in the House of Nagh reD.

        It is no secret that our most honorable faction has gotten off to a rocky start, as you Federations like to say. At first there was not much to do beyond PvP, which is not an appealing task for everybody. things have been changing though, and continue to change. The Powers That Be are giving us new PvE content all the time. First it was exploration sectors
much like you have in Starfleet. But instead of wasting time running around scanning every anomoly, we use our time wisely, to defeat threats to our great empire.

        Additionally, we now have access to eight unique PvE missions available to KDF only, and I am not merely boasting when I say that the missions are truly the most EPIC ones in this game. In these missions allow you to deal with dishonorable factions within the Empire, lead an assault on the heart of Federation space, and even plunge into the depths of Grethor to
save our homeworld!

        Every new mission put into the game since Season 2 has been available to KDF players, and there is no sign this will change any time soon. This of course applies to the new weekly mission series, and all the dailies that go with them. This perhaps is the greatest change to the KDF leveling process recently, and it is a glorious change at that! On top of that, all the new Undine Front missions that you’ve played in Starfleet are available to the Empire as well.

        It’s not just the missions that make KDF game play a truly flavorful experience. We have access to some of the best races in the game; the Orions with their sly seductive powers (as well as a fashion sense that would make even the coldest warriors blood boil!). The fierce Gorn, the ruthless, telekinetic Letheans, and the cruel Nausicaans also all place their allegiance with our great Empire!

        KDF also has a few ship classes that you will never see in a Federation faction. The Bird of Prey is more fast and maneuverable than your escorts, and has universal bridge officer slots to a very high level of versatility in what powers your ship has.

 Meet a Fleetie

     Welcome to this month’s Meet a Fleetie! Today, we are meeting Jeremy (aka Counsla).

        Jeremy is a recent college graduate, born and raised in New York City who has been a fan for Star Trek since TNG. We asked Jeremy to tell us a little more about himself in his own words. “I’m from the greatest city in the world of course, New York City! Born and raised. I went to Cardinal Spellman High School in the Bronx (Catholic School Survivor as my friends and I call ourselves) and for college I went to Hunter College in the city, I wanted to go to NYU but it was too expensive. I graduated Hunter with a BA in Psychology and a minor in Economics.”

        Delving deeper we asked Jeremy to tell us about his hobbies and interests at school: “Well, besides the obvious (kissing boys lol), I was in the orchestral and marching band in high school, I played the flute...of course, and also I was in the school play which was so much fun. In college...ummm, I dont think I can answer that question, lol. Oh yeah, here is a legit activity! I did do a lot of dancing, I wanted to take a dance class but I couldn’t fit it into my course schedule, but I did take acting which as also a lot of fun."

When asked about his current hobbies and interests: “Well apart from kissing boys, they would have to be dancing, singing (still working on sounding like Usher, lol). I also read... ok no thats a lie, unless you count the September issue of Vogue. I am also working on getting an internship working at a Human Resources department, hopefully with corporate GapInc.”

        When it comes to entertainment... “My favorite type of movies are action... I love explosions! I would have to say my favorite movie would be Jurassic Park. I LOVE pop music, then R&B would be a very close second, can’t get enough Gaga!”

Weekly Fleet Events

      Every week, we love to put on events for the fleet! Based on past member surveys, they events typically occur on alternating Saturdays and Sundays, 3 different times per day, and include combat events, social events, contests, alt-leveling clinics, KDF specific events and much more! Aside from here in the times, you can find up coming events in these areas:

In-Game: Accessible from the Fleet UI on the drop-down menu from the mini-map (it can also be set as a keybind), we take advantage of the Events tab. Here, you can see all the events for the upcoming week and even RSVP to them.

StonewallFleet.com/events : Here, you will find a section similar to the in-game UI but on the site. You can RSVP as well as invite your friends to the events you are interested in.

StonewallFleet.com Forum Post: This forum post is updated at the end of every month with the next month's event. If you subscribe to the topic (press the subscribe button at the bottom), you will receive an email each month when it is updated.

Meet Your Officers

        Welcome to the newest edition of "Meet Your Officers". Today, we learn all about one of our recently promoted Fleet Captains, Doug (@Doogiegood).

        Douglas Leroy Goodwin was born on the 2nd of July in 1974 during the Year of the Tiger. Doug  can remember growing up and watching TOS reruns with his father, alongside another favorite, "Lost in Space". At that time, the aliens are what really drew him to watch the show. Looking back, Doug now sees that the real life issues inside of the plots made the show interesting. If he had to pick one favorite captain, he would choose Janeway but "Dr. Crusher was my favorite doctor, not that you asked, but I liked her interactions with Picard and how she could get away with saying just about anything."

        Before STO, Doug loved playing Star Wars Galaxies for years, as well as Guild Wars. He first heard about STO when it was under Perpetual's development but was very glad when Cryptic and Atari took it over.
