Between my IRL graduate work and the fiction I write on here, you'd think I'd gotten my fill of writing. But you'd be wrong! I was recently asked to serve as a part-time editor/writer for a new game/music/film site called Digital Hippos. I write one article a week for them. I bring this up for one of two reasons. First, we're looking for editors and writers, so if you want to take a stab at it, please head to the site and take a look.

The other reason is shameless self-plugging. :D I've written two articles for Digital Hippos so far. The first is a review of Dragon Quest IX and the second is a movie review of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.

This week, I wrote an article about the "emerging gamer adult", which was inspired by a New York Times article I read last week. I hope to turn this into a series of articles that profile the way adult gamers are integrating the past time into their lives and livelihoods.

Also, while I'm plugging, I was on a Destructoid community podcast a couple of weeks ago. I did it again this week, but it hasn't gone live yet.
