So you're thinking about giving Star Trek Online a try and joining Stonewall Fleet?  Great!  We're glad to have you. We'd love to help you get started in STO.

We can first help by providing you access to the demo version of Star Trek Online by giving you a code. Using this code will automatically link you to a buddy in STO and Stonewall Fleet that can help you learn about the game and the fleet, as well as some other nice perks.  Once you get setup with a buddy, they can show you the ropes, teach you how to level efficiently, show you how different features of the game work, and help you create the perfect build for your captain.  So send us a message and let us know you're interested in the Buddy Program and we'll get you set up!

What can I do in the demo version?

With the Demo version of Star Trek Online, you can play for as long as you want, so you don't have to worry about it expiring.  Also, you can create a custom character using the Character Creator, including creating your own uniform, learn about the game in the tutorial as you take command of your first ship, take a look around Earth and the varying Sector Blocks and complete the "Stranded in Space" mission.

What can't I do in the demo version?

• Cannot trade player-to-player, send items via mail or use the Exchange.
• Cannot send in-game tells except those on the friends list (but can receive all tells)
• Cannot participate in zone chat
• Cannot send a friend request, or team/fleet invites (but can receive and accept them)

What do I do with the code?

First, you'll need to register at startrekonline.com.  Once you've done that and logged in, go here and enter the code that we've given you.  This will activate the game for your account and add your buddy onto your in-game friend list.

I've bought the game, now what?

Now that you've bought the game all you have to do activate the product key one your account.  Log into your account at startrekonline.com and go here.  Type in your product key and click Submit, then you'll be set!

Where can I find the key?

If you purchased a box product, the product key is located on the inside cover of your game manual.

If you purchased digitally, you should have received your product key via email. If you didn't get one, please contact the digital vendor that you purchased the key from for assistance.

What other perks are there?

• A special power to instantly travel to your buddy (first 30 days).
• A 5% Captain and Officer skill point bonus when you’re teamed up (first 15 days).
• A 5% damage bonus when you’re teamed up (first 15 days).

If I've already purchased the game, can I still participate in the Buddy Program?
